Alisa lives in Huntersville, NC with her husband, twin daughters (8th graders at Bailey Middle School), son (4th grade at J.V. Washam Elementary) and their family labradoodle.
Alisa has served on the PTSO Board in previous years and is also a photographer, wellness coach and serves on the board of a local foundation.
The PTSO President oversees all aspects of the PTSO, including advocating on behalf of all PTSO members. The presidents also collaborates with our school’s principal to develop programs and calendars; works with the Executive Board to plan and execute events, volunteer needs, fundraising and annual budgets.
President - Elect
The President-elect works closely with the President and the Executive Board to assist as needed in planning, promoting and executing all PTSO activities.
The Treasurer oversees all financial and budgetary aspects of the PTSO - including preparing budgets, tax filings, working with committees on budgetary needs, providing financial reviews and executing any required audits.
Nicole and her family moved to Cornelius in 2015. Since that time, Nicole has been an active member of the parent groups at Bailey, where she has a 7th grade boy, and Cornelius Elementary, where her daughter is entering 3rd grade. Nicole enjoys volunteering reading, boating and traveling in her spare time.
The VP Fundraising works in cooperation with school representatives and PTSO volunteers to raise funds in support of Bailey Middle School initiatives. These efforts include promotion of the Bronco Fund, coordination of fundraising sales/events, and the administration of school reward programs.
VP Family Events
Cheryl lives in Cornelius with her husband, son (11th grader at Hough), and daughter (8th grader at Bailey). Cheryl works part time at Davidson Community Players and has been an active PTSO board member for several years.
The VP Family Events oversees all family involvement activities throughout the school year including the Back to School Picnic, International Week, and End of Year Celebrations.
VP School Support
Sonja lives in Davidson with her husband, two daughters (8th grade and 1st grade), and son (5th grade). Sonja moved to NC in 2018 and enjoys running, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors.
The VP School Support works very closely with the Executive Board and the Principal to develop and execute programming in support of the school and student recognition. These efforts include: Staff Appreciation, Honor Roll and Character Education Awards.
The VP Communications manages all PTSO communications to keep us connected with the BMS staff and our BMS families. The Bronco Times, social platforms and our PTSO website are included in some of our communication platforms.
Morgan and her family have been living in the Charlotte area for 12 years and planted roots in Cornelius back in 2013. She has a son in 6th grade here at Bailey and a daughter in 4th grade at Cornelius Elementary. In her free time Morgan coaches preschool gymnastics at the Lake Norman YMCA and enjoys volunteering, crafting and camping with her husband, kids and three golden retrievers!
The Member at Large provides support and assistance for all Executive Board officers and Committee Chairs as needed and provides additional support in planning, developing and executing any event as needed.
